In 1974 Johnny Gimble released Fiddlin’ Around. I selected this song because Merle Haggard is playing fiddle on the Faded Love part of the medley. Oh, I do know that most don’t consider this bluegrass but fiddle music makes up a lot of bluegrass. Just close your ears when you hear the steel guitar or drums, you’ll survive.

Johnny Gimble (1926-2015)
A post to mark the passing of western swing fiddle player Johnny Gimble, famous, among other things, for having played with Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys. Here he is just a couple years ago performing "Right or Wrong" with the Hot Club of Cowtown.
