i’m not sure but i wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case…i know he talks a lot with the actors about their characters etc
I remember reading before The Dark Knight that Heath Ledger locked himself in a hotel room for a while with essential Joker comics and worked on coming up the right voice and personality.
Whether or not Tom Hardy did the same thing, I don't know.

totally agree man, it was a perfect start and each stage so far has been crafted so damn well.
