For the person who asked about a history of cutting
First off, who have you heard this from? If possible talk to MEPs about issues like this, as your recruiter may have misinformation or outdated info. Its sad to say but not all recruiters are as good and informed as they should be.
Now, I am not claiming to be an expert, so please, please check with MEPs (they are the ones who fill out your papers, who do the medical checks, etc) Just be honest. That is a big thing, don’t try to falsify or omit medical history. (Or anything, really) But I will assume, due to your question, that you had some sort of mental health issues?
Mental health can be a touchy subject, but often people can get waivers for certain issues. It might take more time or paperwork, but it is possible. It is also possible that you might not need more paperwork at all, and that you can join without issue. Some things also depend on your age at the time you had the issues (for instance, if you were a minor)
All in all I’d talk to your recruiter, try and get some answers from MEPs, or even pop on here: http://www.navy.com/chat.html I want you to be able to do whatever it is that will help you in your goal. :)
Please keep me updated on your progress hun, and good luck
