the lunar new year event was really a lot of fun! i love how enthusiastic yaoling is with everyone, and I,, might have started shipping her with Leo, lol. they're the same shade of overexcited idiot, I love them. Anyways! being able to watch fireworks sure is fun, and this was supposed to be, like, ren and nagisa watching the fireworks (as evident by the small panel, where they're lying in the dark, outside), but i, uh... left that idea halfway because Ugh Backgrounds.

so have ren being naughty instead, lol

(but LunaChi, why's Nagisa's sleeve missing! you may ask, and to that I can only say,, well. he didn't wear the black-white shirt before, and I noticed too late that Something's Missing.)

hi, once again I have Big Feels in regards to Nagisa. Considering the game's mentioned the possibility of time loops, it made me think about how Fucked Up it would be if Nagisa remembers the deaths, again.

This is a direct follow-up to a chase over the rooftops and also very much based on two different scenes in the last unicorn where king haggard is like "what is the matter with your eyes? they are full of green leaves, crowded with treesand streams and small animals. Where am I? Why can I not see myselff in your eyes" and then the latter scene where King Haggard looks at Lady Amalthea again and does, in fact, see his reflection:" It must be so, I cannot be mistaken. Yet her eyes are as stupid as his-- as any eyes that never saw unicorns, never saw anything but themselves in a glass."

Those two scenes always stayed with me as some of my favorites throughout the whole book and move, and I feel like the Unicorn is a good metaphor / antithesis for Nagisa (at least in my heart). Ren can't see himself in the reflection of Nagisa's eyes and instead glimpses sight of the ruin that lead to the time loops, even if Nagisa doesn't really realize the scope of them, in a clear inversion of the King Haggard scenes: instead of Nagisa knowing the truth and remaining silent about the reflection in his eyes, he doesn't know it (mirroring the second scene), but his reflection belies that he's not just a regular person. Or something.

After the miis, going counterclockwise we got I Want A PMD Sky Romhack With Both Zorua, Nagisa and Ren just chilling (Nagisa is imploding), Nagisa imploding ver. 2.0, a Steven universe-inspired fusion even though I've never watched that show lol, Arsene the tabby and Janosik the mutt, Nagisa being very pretty in his beachwear, and Ren being a menace (affectionately).

oh god, wow, i kinda forgot about this. so I never actually finished any illustration of my own for the 3ds theme (i initially tested it and it just kept crashing whenever i tried to import audio), and i think i mentioned that i used fanart for the top screen wallpaper? anyway i used fanart for that. I found it on danbooru, and rudimentary search jielded no result as to who actually did it, rip, but it's like, on the second to last page if you type in nagisa's name if you want to find it for yourself!

if i however did mention that i downloaded the art academy game and did art on the 3ds (honestly i can't remember, i know i planned on mentioning it!), here's the art, lol!
