Closed starter for Jokers-Diamond

It was a dark night in a city he had never been to before, in fact he had just learned this place existed. Dio had finally defeated his mortal enemies in Cairo and now he was free to do as he pleases. He learned about this great city called Gotham, full of crime and opportunity for someone like him. His first night and he was already walking the streets, unable to contain his enthusiasm for once, something about this place was just so captivating.

As he stealthily looked around he saw it all, crimes of all kinds from petty thieves to mob men making secret deals while the cops desperately tried to chase them. Thou what caught his eye the most was this woman wearing what some might consider strange but he found it so fascinating, she looked so free. It was clear she was a criminal, she had just robbed an atm by hitting it with a large hammer but he just had to know more about her.

He followed her until she was alone and he slowly made his way out of the shadows and into her view “Good evening miss, my name is Dio Brando, I’m new to this city and was wondering if perhaps you could give me a tour?” His crimson eyes almost glowed in the darkness of the night contrasting his soft and polite smile.

AND WHY NOT? SHE HAS DONE NOTHING BUT BE A PAIN TO HIM…

There had been countless chances over the years, too many to count where he could have had her head in his hands, BUT HE NEVER TOOK IT AND HE KNOWS SHE HAD THE SAME CHANCES TO TAKE HIM OUT. Was it the fact that she was in a way a part of him? Everyone still linked them together, when they saw her they thought of him straight away, IT WAS GOOD TO HAVE THE BRAND REPRESENTED HEHE.

Or was it something more? After all she was the only person who had ever genuinely wanted to help him, who had wanted to dig through all the pain and suffering and find who he truly was, how this happened to him and offer him a hand and pull him out of the darkness. WHATEVER THE REASON WAS.

He just could not bring himself to kill her.

“As much as I have tried, I cannot bring myself to kill you.” He rolled his eyes and tutted slightly, it was a pain that he could not do it himself. THAT AFTER ALL SHE HAS DONE TO RUIN HIS PLOTS AND HIS PLANS, he could not put the final nail in her coffin. EVEN NOW AFTER HER TWO BOTCHED ATTEMPTS TO END HIS LIFE, he could not plant this axe square into the back of her skull.

Killing came naturally to him, but killing her, she fell into the same category as batman, THE ONLY TWO PEOPLE HE COULD NOT KILL.

“Consider it your lucky day, I won’t even cripple you, so skip away and play hero elsewhere.”

Arkham Alien

He should have seen this coming, considering her criminal history.

Ben only found out thanks to a news report, Harley getting arrested by the Batman and taken to Arkham Asylum. He wasted no time rushing over to the building, he had to see her, try and bail her out.

Arkham for one was a lot dirtier then the cleaner cells back at Plumber HQ, Ben getting a really stressed vibe not only from the prisoners but the security guards as well. At least it was visiting hours, or whatever graced him to at least visit the blonde bombshell...

Eyes widened as he finally saw her, heart stopping for just a moment at her current condition, “Harley... the hell happened?!”
