The four characters from JOLLY 1
So I became interested in the Jolly games after seeing my friend’s humanizations of the characters. And I’ve been playing through them throughout the week so far. Here’s what I think about them.
I really liked Jolly 1 as a whole, with the creepy atmosphere and animatronics and all that. While I didn’t like how some mechanics such as sealing the air vents or manipulating the elevator didn’t really need to be used to win, the game was still very interesting to me. I beat Nights 1-6 and 5/5 mode, but I dunno about trying the 5/10, 5/15, and 5/20 modes.
Jolly 2 was an interesting sequel, with the inclusion of Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy as enemies. The shock and pipe mechanics were handled rather nicely, although I personally think it took too long to recharge the door shocks and cameras (after using a camera shock). Not to mention how difficult Night 5 was. I did beat it after many attempts and got the True Ending as well, but I dunno if I’ll do Night 6 or any of the Custom Night presets.
I started playing Chapter 1 of Jolly 3 today. And I have to say, I’m really impressed with what I saw so far. The mechanics might seem complex at first, but I think they’re rather easy to get the hang of. I managed to beat Night 1 on my first try, but I’m stuck on the minigame with Tweetie at the moment. I’ll make sure to keep playing tomorrow to see what else is in store.
