Ladies and gentlemen, the 100th installment of Cartland. I published the first comic strip on September 17, 2011, the beginning of the story that would make up my MFA thesis project (and maybe surprising, the culmination of about 6 months of conceptual work). So, here we are 1,223 days later – we've learned a lot about Steve, Nicole, and the strange folks who surround them, but the story is far from over.
Nicole continues to ambush Counselor Cameron with trickery, this time making scary animal noises outside his cabin during the night. Writing as Nicole is fun – who knows what other odd things she's documented in her journal, for the benefit of the Doris Kearns Goodwins and David McCulloughs of the world (she's at definitely got notes from her longitudinal study on tidal patterns). Next week, Nicole's antics meet with some resistance...
