NY Giants Free Agent News: Jon Hilliman

According to Art Stapleton of The Record, the NY Giants have re-signed running back Jon Hilliman.

The Giants waived Hilliman on Friday to make room for Buck Allen but Hilliman cleared waivers.

So, he will be added to the team’s practice squad.

Hilliman has struggled when called upon this season, as he’s averaged 3 yards per carry on 30 carries, twice losing fumbles (one of those as a receiver).

According to Art Stapleton of The Record, the NY Giants have promoted running back Jon Hilliman from the practice squad.

To make room for Hilliman, the Giants have placed wide receiver Russell Shepard (foot) on Injured Reserve.

The Giants will be without Saquon Barkley for 4-8 weeks, so it was necessary for the Giants to add depth behind Wayne Gallman and Eli Penny.

Notre Dame quarterback Brandon Wimbush did plenty of damage with his legs in a 49-20 victory over Boston College.
