Art Show: Greater Th>n, April 4th @ The Des Moines Building 7 PM -
What does it mean for something to be greater than something else? What does it mean for something to be greater than you? What does it mean for you to be greater than something? For this exhibit, the artist was tasked to explore these questions and respond by creating something “greater than” themselves, specifically through the constraint of creating a work physically larger than their own body.
This one-night exhibit will take over the first floor of the historic The Des Moines Building in Downtown Des Moines, presenting site-specific art in an unconventional space. This space will soon be a restaurant, so GREATER THAN will be your only chance to check out the space before construction in its unfinished state.
