At all TMA fans. How we feeling?
i can tell i’ve rotted in your brain.
Extinction!Jon Theory.
So I had a thought this morning about how Jon would eventually ascend to becoming the extinction entity.
So
Jon becomes the avatar of the extinction. But it's extremely subtle. A slow growing thing that started when Jon got the position as head archivist. At first it's not obvious , after all and extinction takes time. At some point he begins to feel this sense of fear. This Where-are-they-why-am-i-the-only-one-where-did-they-go-i-am-alone-oh-no-no-no-noi-am-the-only-one fear. It rings so deeply in his lizard brain the first time he woke up he woke up screaming and bolted into the first dark corner of his home he could find. At first he thinks nothing of it. Just a side effect of the job and later the Eye. But it never changes. It gets worse.
Sometimes Jon's voice is lower, raspier than usual bordering on grating. Or he would look at you and and suddenly you would feel this impending sense of doom, that you are the last one left and that soon you will be no more. Plants would die around him and some animals would avoid him.( not cats , cats will inherit the earth). Everyone put it off as Jon smoking more due to stress , or weird Eye nonsense.
And then combo supreme happens (I love that name) . And then all the world suddenly, truly felt the fear of extinction. The rush is heady and intoxicating and completely altering in a moment.
Jon remains the same.
Jon is not the same.
Jon is human.
Jon is not.
He is and avatar and he is an entity.
No one notices until a month later.
The first fear to go is The Corruption.
It dies screaming as it's own filth turns against it.
They all die the the way they have taken lives. In fire and in darkness and loneliness and strangers replacing their own. The only one that remains is The End, for that is where everything goes in the end.
The Ceasless watcher dies last. It dies unable to anything but watch as its eyes are plucked out one by one. It dies unable to do anything but watch as that is all it has done.
At the center of it all is Jon. He is the Archivist and the Archives and The extinction. He is the only entity left.
The extinction was never only about the end of humanity.
It was also about the end of the other entities.
How much fear do you think a being that feeds of fear can feel?
(What do yall think?)
