The second Jaguar we saw, a very large male that the guides had nicknamed ‘Mick Jaguar’. He was blind in one eye at looked like he had only partial vision in the other, and they said he was about 6 years old. He was (is?) the dominant male in the area, although the guides said that he had been thinning out a bit, perhaps because he finds it more difficult to catch prey due to his impaired sight.
