I saw this when I was 12, which was the same year I heard the Minutemen and saw Pink Flamingos for the first time. This should explain a lot about me.

"Kenneth Anger frequently changes the soundtracks to his films. The original soundtrack to 1949's "Puce Moment" was the Overture to Verdi's opera "I Villi". In 1966, Anger re-released the film with a new psychedelic folk-rock soundtrack performed by otherwise unknown Jonathan Halper."
This short film by Kenneth Anger captures the Hollywood-esque dressing up for the sake of dressing up. It makes me think of that passage in John Gilmore's book Severed, where Elizabeth Short, also known as the Black Dahlia, lounges around the house, with all her expensive clothes strewn around the room.
Along with a song by little known folk artist Jonathan Halper, this film looks like an early music video.
