Bertie Carvel as Jonathan Strange Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell | S01E03 The Education of a Magician
not to be parasocial, but i am just as curious about bertie carvel as everyone else who has just finished watching akotsk is. i was reading some bertie carvel interviews and he is just so deliciously witty.
he talks about being an activist and so many things that just adds to this endearing image of him as a kind and just man, much like baelor.
in another interview he replies that what makes him angry is injustice and explains about stepping away from the amount of activism he used to do after the birth of his son.
there's one bit where he's asked about how he's played "bad" character roles and whether he would take on a romantic lead role and he says "he doesn't think he has the looks for it and isn't being offered roles for the good looking chaps."
This is the same man that has everybody swooning for him in the few scenes we got of him as baelor. And in these few peeks we get of him as an articulate interviewee (despite him hating being interviewed) proves that he was perfectly cast. i just hope he realises people truly would pay to watch him in a romantic role.

Me, smiling like an idiot every time Jonathan appears on screen.
