i wonder if this is what a broken bone feels like.
While rolling the dough out thin in one direction, if you quickly switch to rolling it perpendicular to the original direction it will stop contracting so much between rollings.
meditation log: jonathan
sometimes when i practice meditation, i find a place where i'm just being, sitting right where i am and breathing, but something about it is expansive. this occurs when everything else has quieted down.
a handful of times while practicing meditation, i've entered a liminal hallucinatory state. i'm not asleep. i am aware of my surrounding and my sitting self, but it's as if i'm dreaming. i'm not sure what this is.
today i had too much on my mind. there was a lot of traffic to watch, even if i didn't get into the though-cars too often. by the time it settled down, my timer went off.
speaking of which, this is currently my favorite meditation timer. it's pretty barebones and has a very good chime sound: http://helloform.com/projects/mind/
No matter how static difficult emotions appear, they always change and physical activity lubricates this process.
