Quick Thoughts on Something in the Rain
I watched Something in the Rain a while ago, but I never actually finished it, and at this point, I don’t think I will. The premise of the story, a woman in her thirties dating someone in his mid-twenties and how that affects their lives. I genuinely enjoyed watching the romance between Jin-ah and Joon-hee. It was really adorable watching them evolve from childhood-friends into a genuine couple.
That said, something about the storyline circling around and around the taboo nature of their relationship toward the end of the story started to agitate me, which is why I stopped watching it. From what I can tell, the story has a happy ending, which is great, but not something I feel like slogging through the umpteenth “you aren’t allowed to love him” to get to.
