It’s nice to know that Scandinavia can create modern fantasy stories with either folklore or norse mythology <3
I’m watching the second season of Ragnarok. A norwegian series about Norse mythology in modern times. The series follow Magne who live in a small village in Norway. He live a fairly normal life when he is told that a great danger is coming.
Another series I really like is “Jordskott” which is a swedish series about swedish folklore in modern time. This story follows a woman who’s child got lost in the woods and wasn’t found. Years later there are more children missing as well as strange corpses showing up that doesn’t look quite human.
Dat 32: Jordskott episodes 1 & 2
Worth further viewing. There are nice slow creepy scenic visuals.
There are missing kids, an ex lady cop and it appears it a mystical virus from the forrest.
It was in shudder's eco-terror section.
So I'm guessing a corporate bad guy (the protagonists father) is destroying the environment and causing contagion.
A mysterious girl found in the woods linked up to the root system of a potted hospital plant
On some poison ivy ish
And they'd now she murders and a shadowy blackmail outfit.
Also made these random things
Been watching jordskott and i'm obsessed
