Let me start off by saying no one has said these words to me but I know it has happened to many people out there who experience monthly periods.

Do not ever tell a person that their period isn’t that bad. Don’t ever say oh cramps can’t hurt that bad. Or whatever symptoms said person on their period is experiencing.

Today I can barely fucking walk because my cramps are so bad. So give us people who experience this shit monthly a fucking break.

I’m wondering because I can never decide how the wolf part of the person is? Is the wolf another entity with its own life and personality or is the wolf an extension of the character in canine form.? What do you feel? I’ve always thought that predictability changed severely between the two. And how does one even get a wolf at birth … like it’s such an interesting and complex idea I could spend hours thinking about it.

the bottom line is how you choose to build the character that has the werewolf trait and how it ties to the story(if it's multiple chapters) or how it ties to the main idea of the short-story;

is a world only with supernatural being? a world in which they co-exist with humans? yada yada yada 😩

for example - i have a draft i wrote a year ago - it's halted for now - in which i based my idea of a werewolf through pure ancestry - meaning: people that are born from werewolves are the only ones capable of acquiring one at birth - the ancestors select this wolf by comparison with the new host: strength, heart, emotions and whatnot - the wolf has its own life and personality within the host and they can communicate, live together in the same body - everything happens at a soul level - from here you can expand into so much more pffft - i have expanded on it so much i sometimes get caught in my own details lol

at the same time - you can use the genetic level - living in a world where supernatural and human is strongly tied together - the werewolf gene is possessed by some(or all however you see fit) and it triggers through a certain ritual/action/etc - here the werewolf can be introduced as an extension of the character because it has always lived in them, at a molecular level even, and can be underlined as the character's stronger awakened half

there is also the curse option - a curse running in certain families and here you can create ramifications that fit the story

i have also read stories a while ago in which the bite of a werewolf would transfer a certain liquid at a cellular level that creates an abnormality into the human's gene which develops into the werewolf trait

there are so may options on how to go about it .. you can get a headache real quick 😅😅 i spent days and hours on end reading about the subject - it's simply such a versatile subject - you can twist it and turn it as you please it is always on how you go about the subject, what speaks to you in terms of characterization based on a werewolf

personally? if it were me, i would like to have a werewolf soul bound to me at birth - have their own life and personality that are tied to mine and vice-versa - 😎
