Love Actually Verse Update

Jorjayna Stark - 19 years old - Student 

After all of the trouble that befell her family two years earlier, Jorjayna’s studies at school took a bit of a back seat. Most of the issues took place during her lower sixth year at school, and thus her AS Levels were affected. Her results the following year improved slightly, but she didn’t manage to get into her university of choice. Thus, she has taken a gap year, and is spending her time at a job in retail, close to home. She has mostly gotten over her kidnapping experience but still feels slightly nervous when having to walk home from work on her own. She intends to resit her exams this year and reapply for universities in London, but for now she is simply helping at home and working as much as she can to build up her funds for university - if she gets accepted.

She’d seen her once at the hospital, so briefly, and in such chaos as hospitals had (hence why Catelyn had had all home births), that it barely counted. And then once when they were back home, but knowing well enough how exhausted one was after birth she had been loathe to linger too long. And Ned had prevented any further visits. Let them settle in, Cat, you know what it’s like. No, Cat, you phoned them, don’t be checking up on them yet. Cat, if she needs help, she’ll call. And she had listened...but by God, it had been a struggle. 

And so it was with eagerness that she now finally found herself visiting with the knowledge that it was not too soon, and she might linger longer without loving reprimand from Ned. Or patient acceptance from Jorjayna. 

“Sweetheart,” Catelyn smiled in greeting, reaching forward to embrace her daughter, who looked exhausted as Catelyn herself recalled feeling after Robb, and kissed her on the cheek. And then once more, before wiping away a little smudge which might or might not have been there with her thumb.

“So, how are you....and where is she?”

I may now have one half-written set in their cutesy early days of Winterfell, shortly after they’ve realised they’re in love and the fluff is killing me. Cat gets so smiley, and Ned gets so blushy cheeks, and yeah...fluffiness.

      Perhaps this way, the souls of all those I have slain can finally exact their revenge upon me. I have come to terms with my end. My only regret is that I will leave you a widow and our son, our sweet son, fatherless. You both deserved far better than me.

It was, by now, some weeks after the marriages of the Direwolf and the Lion and the Direwolf and the vineyard, and there were still more whispers. Whispers that the marriages were always fracturing, tearing themselves apart under the strain of different ideologies, different faiths, and so much history. In truth, it was much more pedestrian than that.

They simply didn’t speak.

Both parties had insisted, from the offset, that the partners would have separate chambers, and were only married insofar as it aided ongoing negotiations ( more civilised than holding hostages, to be sure ). Therefore Tywin had only seen his young bride on three separate occasions: during the preliminary negotiations; during the ceremony itself; and once in a stairwell, quite by accident. It was easier to forget that way, but there were some things that could not be forgotten. Her mother’s own words: Family. Duty. Honour. Winter was coming, and the matter of legacy could no longer be ignored.

Tywin had requested a meeting in her own chambers—to make her feel more comfortable, in theory—and waited outside the room until the door opened. He looked at a fixed point somewhere above her head before intoning.

“My lady.”

“Are you okay?” Jon quickly dusted the snow off of him as he rose to his feet. He had been in a hurry to get to the kitchens. He and Arya had just gotten back from a ride and Jon was sure she was as hungry as he was. But his half sister had been running in the other direction. Reaching his hand to her, he smiled and helped her up and onto her feet. “Where are you off to in such a hurry?”
