How do the heats and mating work for your jormungander Sea Serpents? Their rather large- do they seek mates during seasons or do they mate for life perhaps? Battle for dominance? Display? Hunt down a sutable partner?
Jormanganders mostly pair for life, but are notorious for being polyamorous as well, so they often have two or more partners.
As for heat, they will have their heat in the cooler months and heat up to a noticeable amount, able to heat up the water around them when in heat/rut. Their heats are very based on size: 1-2 weeks for mini, 3-4 for fullsized, and 5-6 weeks for bara!
For display, they will attempt to show off their colors and fins! As well as their agility and flexibility, and their dicks if consent is given.
They all have two dicks like lamias, as well as a slit they come out of and a vaginal cavity under their cocks. The area is extremely sensitive, and they lay eggs!
As for 'hunting down a suitable partner', they often go based on personality and fall in love extremely slowly, though they will also look for size to make sure they won't harm their partner during intercourse, but aren't afraid to use their very long tongues if their partners are too small for their dicks,
They rarely battle for dominance as they would rather ask their potinial mate who they'd rather have, even if its both!(not recommended to take them as the same time- but they will share partners!)
As they are an ovipositor they will fill their mate with eggs, these eggs are small but many(10-100+) and look like translucent pearls, they will stay in their mate for 1-5 weeks while they form soulings, in this time the Jormangander will be VERY protective of their mate and eggs, as the eggs are very fragile, they will attempt to convince their mate to stay in the den/cave/nest, and after the weeks are up the eggs will be laid and kept safe in the nest for a set amount of time based on the size of the Jormungander, 6-20 weeks for mini, 20-60 weeks for fullsized, and 80-100 weeks for bara,
Jormanganders are also notorious for hybrid types, but they are almost always a sea serpent type, and often take their size after their sire!
If the Jormangander is the carrier, they will refuse to leave their nest until the eggs are laid, and then they will only leave to eat!
