asking here bc he’s loki’s child - do people work with jormungandr? do you know of anyone who does? 👀

I certainly know of people who work with Loki’s other children - Hela and Fenrir - so I’m sure there are people who also work with Jormungandr. Any of our followers able to help?

If you work with Loki, do you have to work with his children or Odin or Sigyn, too?

Not at all! Some Lokeans choose to work with them, for a number of reasons. Some quick facts for anyone confused by this ask.

According to some of the eddas, Loki and Odin are blood brothers. Personally, this is something I subscribe to, but I know other Lokeans who feel differently, for instance, pop culture Lokeans.

Sigyn is, to some people, considered Loki’s wife. This is, again, in the mythos, but to a lot of people it need not necessarily be your OTP.

He has three children (that we talk of - let’s face it, there’s probably more, eheheh); Fenrir (a giant wolf, destined to kill Odin), Hel (guardian of Hel - the underworld, not of herself - and actually humanoid), and Jormungardr (the world snake, destined to kill Thor).

but in the end, it’s really up to you whether you work exclusively with Loki, or include his family and friends and… so on and so forth.

Also, Narfi and Vali, his children with Sigyn. In the Eddas, Vali gets turned into a wolf and kills Narfi, and Loki is then bound with Narfi’s entrails. However, since many believe that time works a little differently when it comes to the gods, some do honor Narfi and Vali as alive and well.

A number of Lokeans do eventually feel pushed to work with entities we don’t initially feel comfortable with if Loki feels it’ll serve some purpose. That’s the case with myself and Odin, actually. However, this is a matter of individual personal experience, not some kind of overarching rule for Lokeans. There really aren’t any overarching rules for Lokeans, to be honest, since we come from many different traditions.
