Adjusting to life post being able to keep blood down was hard to do. Every single time he had a bag, he worried it was going to come back up, even if the ache in his throat was long gone. Warren tried to get back to routine, went back to getting coffee in the morning before heading over to the office to inevitably procrastinate with Rowan. He was taking it easy, easier than normal. Which meant two doughnuts instead of one. There might have been a little anxiety towards going to the office, towards being around a whole lot of vampires. Fellow vampires, he had to really admit to that now. Of course he’d been worried for friends and coworkers. But they were mostly originals which meant they’d had enough time to get comfortable with what they were.
Coffee and bag of doughnuts in hand, he was ready to go find a spot to sit and maybe contemplate some stories for work when he saw her. Her, being Josefine, the one who’d come running when he’d needed her that day but had ghosted him before and after the whole ordeal. Which, okay, he couldn’t really blame her for. The kiss thing had been really awkward despite his efforts to tell her it was all fine. It might be a stretch to go...Alright, bye-bye train of thought, he was walking over to where she was sitting and standing beside the table and everything seemed to be moving in slow motion because he actually was a little bit worried. “Do you have a second? Like, to talk I mean. If not like, we could try some other time and I know mornings are for coffee and contemplation but-” He sighed heavily, realizing he was speaking quietly but way too fast. “Please?” @josefinexgatti
