THE FIRST PHOTOGRAPHER
Joseph Nicéphore Niépce fixed images using a camera as early as 1816. Uing cameras of his own making, the were not permanent, and would quickly faded away later. 1827, he made permanent images using a sliding wooden box camera made by Charles and Vincent Chevalier in Paris, France. This is the first photograph he ever took using the wooden box camera:
