Collaborating with singer/songwriter Josh Roa, GHOSTS’ debut single ‘Haunted’ is a brooding, kaleidoscopic whirl of claps, keys and chimes caught in the shadows, hovering over a troubled soul like ghosts (natch) from the past: ’I’m losing touch with reality.’ It’s dark, but it’s also a crisp and clean club track that also pulls you into an eerie sense of calm from start to finish.

If Josh Roa’s voice sounds familiar, it’s probably because we’ve enjoyed songs together by filous and Palastic that featured his soulful emotive crooning. His latest guest stint comes on GHOSTS’ new song, Haunted. The Austrian producer gives us a bittersweet anthem for summer. Haunted offers up powerful deep house, its lavish soundscape and hooking melody igniting in me a need to search out a dance floor on which I can bare my soul in the warning hours of dark night. This isn’t a haunting in an eerie ghostly sense, but rather an aching haunting of the heart.
