P.E.I. Green Party candidate dies days before provincial election

District 9 candidate Josh Underhay killed in 'tragic accident,' says party leader

P.E.I. Green Party candidate Josh Underhay and his young son have died in a "tragic accident," according to a statement issued late Friday night by the party's provincial leader Peter Bevan-Baker.

Underhay was the party's candidate in district 9, Charlottetown-Hillsborough Park.

Details of the deaths have not been released at this time. His family has asked for privacy.

According to his profile on the Green Party's website, Underhay was also a teacher at Birchwood Intermediate school in Charlottetown and an avid trumpet player.

Too bad the rest of Canada's politicians can't seem to ever stop behaving like malicious school boys and girls. #Scheer and his Conservatives also need to realize that they don't own the sandbox they're playing in, we do.
