Cera?
Had a lovely evening with my girlfriend last night. We decided on a random trip to Westfield, bought lots of food, some cds and Scott Pilgrim on dvd. As Stevie picked up Scott Pilgrim she made a comment about me looking like Michael Cera and her looking odd walking around with a film of his. Then as we paid the hmv employee decided I looked like Scott Pilgrim and got ovetly excited about it shouting out to his mate to look at me! It was all quite amusing. He told me it was a “good thing” so I suppose I shouldn’t mind too much. Stevie loves to call me Cera at the minute and I think my recent haircut is probably what has brought this on. Lucky she fancies him really or we might have a problem! I picked up the latest Explosions In The Sky album (so obsessed with them) and also Young The Giant’s debut album to give to Stevie to listen to as she hasn’t heard of them. Always jumping on the 2 for 10 pound range! Afterwards we went to see The Dictator. The film was a bit hit and miss in terms of the story but overall it was very enjoyable and in parts was absolutely hilarious. I think the comedy was the most dumbed down I’ve seen from Sasha Baron Cohen but for all the stupid humour it still managed to send us almost to tears on occasions. I’d recommend it for sure if you like his stuff or that sort of comedy. You know, stupid on the surface but it has a somewhat clever and at times political meaning behind it. The Bin Laden bits were amazing as were all his insults to poor Zoe; “Hairy Potter!” being my favourite. Tonight I have an amusing and exciting night ahead as I am going to a friend’s party where a surprise high profile guest is going to appearing and performing for us! I say surprise but I actually do know who it is. None of the other guests other than my girlfriend and the host have any idea so it should be pretty interesting when they arrive! Hope all is well with everyone and you’re having a nice week of sun, sun, sun!
