Jotober day 3 : color palette swap
I really liked how this turned out- I got a random color palette offline and a reference pose bc I am not pose creative.... which is the whole point of even drawing jojo stuff.... :(( sighh....
Sadly just looks like a toned down og version...
So- there’s a delay on jo-tober since my wacom starting not working with my MacBook, atm im working on seeing what’s wrong and ways to fix it... atm no success...
but I think I might just try it either on traditional art, or just start posting traditional art in general while I fix this... wish me luck
So have a bruno and doppio sketch
so, fun thing
I’ve been using the Inktober/Jotober prompts to get some work done on my baby, and despite little evidence here, I’ve been keeping more or less up with the whole endeavor. that being said, I’ve noticed that more than a few of the pieces I’ve ended up building out of the prompts are actually pretty heavy or pivotal scenes in the narrative. Scenes I’d rather keep under wraps until my stuff was published.
so, dependent on whether that trend continues or not, I don’t know how many other Jotober 2019 prompt posts I’ll be making. which is weird cause I’ve been looking forward to it, and had no way of knowing this was gonna happne.
Jotober Day 3 post has been postponed till tomorrow (Oct 4)
On account of I got 3 and a half hours of sleep and my brain is incapable of coming up with anything rn
LETS GET THIS JOTOBER PARTY STARTED
by losing all ability to write 😑😑😑
Jotober Day 1 (I have a 3rd shift sleep schedule so bear with me)
RING
Ring
The bells rang. The gates were open and someone had come home. Elizabeth couldn’t help but entertain the brief idea that it might be Henry. He had gone off to fight, along with a good majority of their village but nobody who had been gone for longer than eight or so months had returned and he had been gone for three years to the day. She imagined that wherever he was he was happy, but it was nothing more than wishful thinking on her part. She tried to be more sensible but as it neared the exact date he left she couldn’t help a bit of sentimentality.
Elizabeth knew that if she waited long enough Faith, her best and closest friend, would alert her to identity of the person returning. Faith lived in one of the few houses right by the main gate into town and she loved it because it helped fuel her as their town’s resident gossip monger. What she didn’t know was why someone was knocking on her door. Faith never knocked, she had a permanent (and frankly unneeded) invitation to enter Elizabeth’s house whenever and was even given a key (it was all mere formality, Faith had never cared for manners before but the formality of everything made Elizabeth feel much better about the whole thing). After another bout of knocking Elizabeth recognized the pattern of knocks and pauses to be the one that Henry used. Two knocks, a pause, another knock, followed by three more knocks before repeating again. She rose from her seat and gathered her skirts before making her way to the door. She was mildly shaken but she took one deep breath for strength before opening the door to greet her guest. Whatever she had planned on saying caught in her throat as she caught sight of the person on her doorstep.
“Henry?” She choked out, hand flying up to fidget with her necklace. His pale face broke out into a grin, he quickly rushed forward to hug her, burying his face in her shoulder.
“It sure has been a while huh?”
ITS OCTOBER 1!! TIME TO GET WRITING
