To Assassinate a God|| Jotunleige
The cool night air rustled through the trees surrounding the isolated mansion that contained Silver's next victim, Loki Laufeyson, twenty four year old, mutant, born into a wealthy family with a habit of wiping powerful men off the face of the Earth in order to further increase his rank in the pecking order.
The assassin watched the house from the border of the woods, registering the change of lights between each room in the house to pinpoint exactly where his victim, or possible witnisses would be.
He needed to get to the roof, but in order to do so he had to use the windows to climb on. He needed a line of windows, each directly above the other, and the lights needed to be off in all of them, as to assure that no one would see him as he passed each window.
After almost three hours of waiting, an oppertunity arose on the right hand side of the house. The lights in the kitchen were off, as were the lights in the lounge above it and the bedroom directly above that. It was a clear passage towards the roof.
Silver broke from the forest and silently made his way towards the mansion, shifting his tools and weapons that were hidden beneath his black trenchcoat to make the ascent easier.
When he reached the house, he grabbed onto a windowsill and pulled himself up, using the top frame surrounding he window to hoist himself up to the seconds story window sill and so on untill he reached the roof.
Pulling himself up using his arms and swinging his legs up onto the black slate tiles, he glanced around for any signs of a skylight or any means of entrance. In the week leading up to this night, he had studied this household and its usual daily routine. Around this time, his target would make his way onto the roof to watch the stars. This factor would make killing him easy. One push to the back and Loki would be nothing but a mutated stain on the pavement four stories below.
Silver slipped around to the back of the roof, where it was under the cover of darkness by the looming shadow of a few oak trees. Thanks to his black trench coat that covered his silver tuxedo, be blended into the darkness like he was born to live in it.
