They say knowledge is power

But to me, knowledge is weight.

Weight of failed democracy

Weight of a crushing economy

Weight of accountability

Weight of irresponsibility

Weight of sanity

…the entire weight of humanity.

And all I can do is observe objectively

Hoping the future is preserved fully

Hoping that this weight won’t kill

Or my tears don’t drown me

Prematurely.
