Overview: In a hyper-futuristic capitalist society, mankind lives in the sky. The higher up, the richer the person. The poor and the homeless remain on the ground, fighting for scraps, seeking shelter from abandoned homes, malls and plazas that barely remain from the 21st century, while fighting the wild animals and violent weather attacks caused by the long term effects of pollution. The people of the ground are as synonymous with waste as the trash those above ground throws down on it.
Logline: A man is swept into an underground blood-sport and does whatever it takes for him and his mother to live in high society in the sky, over remaining on the desolate and natural disaster ridden Earth.
Summary: Our protagonist was born into poverty. Looking for a way to live a life worth living, he dedicates himself to hard labor in Hope's of fighting and uphill battle. He stumbles upon something he has never seen on the ground before: cars, cars for driving on roads, actually functioning. With polished people in them, and polished people watching. He learns of the illegal underground blood sport of "Joust Off": like cowboy standoffs and medieval jousting, person A is on one side of the road/highway and person B is on the other end. They drive towards one another. All Windows are shut except for the drivers seat. When they cross paths the fire ONE shot, no stopping to shoot, and continue driving pass. They don't stop until a shot is landed. The winner receives all moneys if the loser dies. If the loser survives they receive 10% of all moneys and the winner gets the 90%.
