Jovelle Doll !

I named her Jovelle because my mother wants to call her Jo....More pictures under the cut!

Welp I've always wanted a jointed doll, and finally got my hands on one. Of course she isn't an actual ball jointed doll, that'd be WAY too expensive,but a plastic jointed doll,as far as I'm concerned that's fine. She came naked, and immediately I got to work on her clothes. It..took 3 full days T-T

I did a partial face modification, keeping the basic thing intact but erasing and softening any harsh lines because I do not have the capability of doing a full repaint ,painted her once white shoes to this brass brown ish shade,made her shirt with white cloth and lace,white net stockings,white panties, her hair abd neck ribbon accessories,and the skirt from cloth thrifted from my mother's and my old clothes

In all honesty I didn't do it all by myself,I sewed everything by hand and then asked her to stitch the seams over for I am forbidden from touching the machine lest I break it

So uh here! She stands on her own without a stand(I was so surprised at first!)

P.s. I had intended a steampunk lolita look,so I was going to make a corset piece to go over the skirt. I stitched it but discarded it before getting the seams stitched. Then I thought I'd make a sleeveless coat,which still seems like a good idea but I already like her so I thought I'd scrape the idea. It.. doesn't really look like Steampunk lolita but hey just lolita isn't bad either!

Hello everyone, I've been a tumblr user for a long-ish time (read: pre pon ban) but never posted dolls much. So I made this side blog and... I'm new to dollblr I guess? Hope we can get along!

I'm not an active collector,but I've collected fashion dolls like barbie and mattel winx dolls since childhood, and a lot of Kellys and Chelseas too over the years. Eventually I mostly moved on to anime figurines,though I do get dolls at times. That being said,I really really love looking at BJDs,I have since 8th grade,though can't really afford them.I have one legit fairy BJD and I don't intend to get any more, save very tiny ones, partly because of price and partly because I prefer smaller things, and even 1/4 feels too huge to me. Now,I sometimes collect jointed dolls and customize them to my liking.

However,my main is basically an art blog, and my other sideblog is..well a Blog with everything in it. I know a lot of people don't like dolls, perhaps the people who follow those two too,so I felt the need for this dedicated doll sideblog,so I can post doll photos and reblog doll posts in peace.

Note: my pfp is a Kelly in India doll,with a dress made from the long tag/label ribbon thing that came stitched to my jeans
