My husband is on a food kick - we started making out own peanut butter and Nutella. Unfortunately the hazelnuts weren’t chopped finely enough for 5’s liking, but now I’m hooked on it! Anyways, I’m thinking it would be perfect to slather on a slice of your bread… Yum!

What is your favourite thing about this time of year?

There is so much to be thankful for and to look forward to, but I’ve been a little meh lately. Despite that, a small thing I’m excited for is the local vendor fair next weekend. I went last year and found so many gems! There are a couple booths in particular I’m really looking forward to!

Something silly or joyful -

I saw a squirrel bounce on a branch and then slid down a roof and I thought “that looks fun!” And it was because he did it 6 more times.

Bahahaha. Oh to be a squirrel!

Our college campus was overrun with squirrels. My husband likes to tell the story of the time he watched one eat a blow pop: it twirled the stick in its paws til it got to the bubble gum center and then tossed the rest.

My husband still won’t eat them anymore for that reason- if a squirrel knows better than to eat it then why would I want to. But it makes me laugh a little to imagine the trial and error that went into the squirrel realizing they didn’t want to fuck with bubblegum.
