I’ve finally plucked up the courage to start posting my own writing and I was wondering if you have any advice on planning a story? I’m struggling with turning my ideas into an actual coherent plot 🙆🏼♀️

in regards to any advice on planning a story, to be honest these days i have trouble with the total opposite!! i wanna write little things but they always turn into huge plotlines because my mind just 🤯🤯 every time and i'm always asking myself "hold on, wouldn't this be a great plot for so and so?"
i think introducing problems to the stories will help you start on a plotline. what are your character's motives and how will they try to solve these problems? -- or don't. at the moment i have many fantasy or alternative aus in my head so it's easier to create problems in that sense, because they're out of this world and nothing has to really make sense in regards to reality. explore your worlds, see what you write best with. do you write better using this sort of world where things make sense like college aus, office, etc? or can you build a better world with mafia, kings and queens, dragons, etc??
