+ my dog (even though he is an asshole today)

+ my mum sending me happy messages about her renovation project

+ making my friend laugh through her tears

+ sunshine and tulips

+ the red-pink lipstick I got as a Christmas present

+ my new haircolour

+ my beautiful rainbow scarf

+ that my gallacrafts rose is still looking beautiful

+ getting a "good morning" message every day at 4 pm

+ my friend texting me nice things about my new ff

+ the "God's Own Country" dvd arriving. Because I missed this film so much.

Lughnasadh Joylist 8.1.22

The first harvest is upon us and as modern people I feel like word harvest has lost some meaning. So in a world were the average person doesn't grow their own food, I am suggesting we harvest something new - Our Joys.

As we move into Lughnasadh, it’s good to remember that it is the First Harvest and when many of the crops can and will be harvested and stored carefully for the coming winter months when food will be tough to grow. joyful joyful joylist...

Thank you to the lovely @energievie for tagging me in this. It was nice to spend a day thinking about people and things and moments that brought me joy lately.... so here goes (in no specific order):

+ this kinktober in the gallavich fandom. There's nothing better than spending the day with a constant low level of arousal thanks to fanarts and fanfics being posted at different times throughout the day.

+ my dog!

+ the golden autumn sunshine and walking through colourful leaves

+ tea. always. any kind. just: tea!

+ getting a hug. I'm so fucking touch starved it's not even funny anymore

+ singing while driving the car

+ baking. cakes, cupcakes, muffins, pies. baking!!!!! (next up: vegan apple cheesecake with a speculoos base and crumble)

+ my pink wellies and jumping into puddles (yes, I'm old af, who cares?)

+ knitting

+ being excited about good things happening to fictional people and sharing that excitement with strangers from all around the world.

+ waking up to messages from my favourite person from across the pond and waking up to messages here on tumblr. (come and talk to me! :D)

+ getting back into writing ffs and finishing my first multi-chapter ff in almost a year. It's kind of exhausting but also just so rewarding... and with that point we're kind of circling back to the first one so... it's a good moment to stop.

8/11: What’s on Your Joy List?

I recently had a reading with an Angel Medium to help me settle myself as I chose to begin on a journey with a lot of pain, struggle, but hopefully a very good outcome. One of the things she mentioned is that I need to have a Joy List. 

What is a joy list? Its a list of things that bring you joy. Whenever you can, you need to be living in your joy. Or use the joy list to help you work through something that only positive vibes can get you through. I filled in general things that make me happy and plan to print it out and write in it. I like the option to write in it, as those categories will never change but the details of how they play out will change over time.

Find Your Joy: I've been writing almost everyday. Sometimes a little, sometimes a lot. I wonder if I'm using my time at home effectively.
