"Phone It In" Completes First Show and Workshops at Hilltop Gallery
This weekend, on August 31st, I delivered a second "Shoot, Process and Share: Intro to iPhoneography" Workshop at the Hilltop Gallery in Ashland, Oregon, to serve the overflow crowd from the previous weekend.
Then, this evening, Richard Newman and I took down the "Phone It In" Show, after selling two more prints to last-minute buyers.
Tomorrow I'll begin shipping purchased prints to out-of-town buyers and delivering some locally before we box a complete set for circulation to small colleges and community centers for educational exhibitions, accompanied by local workshops.
I've promised to make a vid to share some of this first show with folks in the global mobile photography community who aren't local. I'm hoping to have it finished by the end of next week and will post it here, too.
Until then, here's a link to a local story that provides a little taste of how the show went in Ashland. Written by my former neighbor, Harriet Berman, this story appeared on the Mountain Meadows community website after Harriet took the first workshop on August 24th.
That's me in the center of the photo, flanked by two brave, brilliant students, Cindy Earle and Loretta Ashbrook. Don't let anyone tell you it's too hard to learn something new after age 60. These two women could run circles around a lot of younger people I've met lately...

If you're interested in bringing the "Phone It In" Show to your local community, along with one or more hands-on workshops for your friends, please use the WANT MORE FORM to tell me a little of what you're dreaming.
I'll gladly phone you for a more complete conversation, at your convenience.
The only thing that makes me happier these days than creating my own iPhone artwork is sharing the joy I get from the creative process with other people who would like to make better mobile photos and have more fun with their mobile devices, too. I'm crazy about iPhones, iPod Touches, and iPads but I'm also happy to work with folks who have Android and Windows devices as well.
