Color knows no bounds in Firelei Baez’s work, currently in fabrication at Mayer of Munich studio for her upcoming subway commission. Experience Baez’s vibrant exploration of color, race and identity, particularly of women in Afro-Caribbean/Afro-Latina visual culture and history in “Joy Out of Fire” at The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Vulture in Harlem, presented with the Studio Museum, and in her solo exhibition “To See Beyond” at Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati.

The Third Annual Lea. K.
