No yeah I ABSOLUTELY see that as being a banger plotline for a like "if this was a whole series" kind of thing.
Like Halloween evening rolls around, and Mariko is excited for candy and horror movie marathons. (Ryosuke is scared shitless of horror movies but he'd never own up to it.) Sakura is excited for the costume she put together. Takashi doesn't really care but he's happy to just vibe.
And Kyoko kicks down the door with armfuls of Dooms Day Preparation Gear, looking like she hasn't slept in four days. Clocks the chill, festive atmosphere in the room and is like "...why is no one prepping?"
At which point Sakura pieces it together like "Wait... Halloween. Costumes. Oh fuck."
And it turns into an entire night-long high-octane endeavor to swoop in and save every poor unsuspecting costume-clad person who so happens to have stumbled upon a formula that invokes the hands of fate.
And bonus points for a real layer of fridge horror if they come across someone who Kyoko failed to save in past years. Enter your idea about the spider girl.
