Elnea Kingdom: A Character Background.
In Elnea Kingdom you start off as a Traveler before working to anything else.
Joze Marin is born from Tabby Garsh and Ryan Marin. Once he turns 6 (18) he plans to sail out, having longed for a distance between his overbearing father and his indecisive mother.
It takes him several months before managing to reach Elnea by boat. People from his town before had discussed about how some of their sons and daughters had met these two ladies who showed newcomers the ropes. He never got their names but upon arriving he found them to be Wiala, a tavern owner and waitress; and Miara, a librarian at the Scholars building.
They taught him the basics, encouraged him to find his own home, and most certainly ushered him into friendships and romance. His first friend was a lady he had met at the square, light discussions, nothing more. He was reluctant with gathering anymore than a few friends, feeling like a child at a new school.
His now most dearest friend, Everton, was one of his last options as friends. He found him pretty was all. He admired his abstract hair color as well, feeling some how connected through their long hair similarities. His old village wasn't keen on long hair.
Most of his days were soent talking and engaging with Everton, dungeon dueling, sparring, gathering, fishing, etc. They grew close. During these times he grew close to another person, a woman he found equally as pretty as his friend for just the same reasons. Long, abstract hair.
Her name? Evelyne. He adored her blue eyes, salmon pink shaded hair, and porcelain skin. Her colors counteract his own. His brown hair versus her pink, his brow eyes versus her blues, his tanned skin verses her pale skin. He was passionate and caring towards her, treating her more and more as a priority in his life as they became a true couple.
He spent most of his time spending time with either Evelyne, Everton, or working. He talked frequently with Miara and Wiala still as they always seemed to have little favors to keep him busy. He would milk the rudders, gather the nagun seeds and garb herbs, cook, take Eve out onto dates, fish with Everton.
He had been thinking long and hard before about this one date, the one in which he would propose. He had planned much earlier before to propose to Evelyne, he finslly knew where. He wanted to do so in front of the Shinzee Temple. And so he did. She had said yes, and soon after, they were wed. The year had went by and by then, he was promoted into the farming society. He had turned 7.
Feeling an urging need to build and support his wife he continued to work and worked a large majority of the day, watering the crops, milking the rudders, gathering herbs and seeds, and making cheese. All with fine pay. He grew more distance gradually, from his wife and his friends. Excusing himself from dungeon runs and fishing with even his closest friend, Everton.
Most of his morning time was eating with Evelyne and then escorting himself to go work. But, Evelyne had another idea one morning as she made herself cozy. She had told him some interesting news that led him to drop his spoon and stare at her in disbelief. She was pregnant.
The days after that, his time was spent gradually trying to incorperate more romance as he constantly tried to make sure she was comfortable, satisfied, and of in little pain. He was more than overjoyed and eager beyond himself to have a child of his own. He excitedly had told Everton, and another good friend of his, Prince Hubert. Prince Hubert had an infant himself, a young girl. Joze may have seen this as an opportunity.
After aching days that felt like years, the final days came at last. He constantly stayed home, clinging nearby to Evelyne anxiously as he pestered her with worried questions until she finally went into labor. Those were the most painstaking moments of his. Practically pale as he holds her hand, the preistess on the other side. Lulu Brown was thankfully up so late to help them deliver. The small tufts of pink and the similar shaded skin of tan made his heaet flutter with joy as the wailing baby emerged.
This was most definantly the best moment of his life.
He picked the name Conner, right from the air. Conner became his sole joy in life. He spent the first week at home, watching and feeding him to the best of his ability. He doted endlessly on the small baby.
One day.
I’m just staring at the fruits @lavender-and-daffodils reblogged the other day and I can’t stop thinking about 1.5/2 year old Joze wanting that book read to him minimum one time a day and I was like what, I would have been 5/6, just barely knew how to read, it was a point of pride that he let me read it to him a lot
Such reader’s theatre, and eventually we let him be the one to flap the butterfly wings and it was so amazing
He was so soft oh my goodness, and he had such beautiful soft red curls and huge blue eyes wow Joze was just so beautiful as a wee babe
Ooohhhhhhhh and now I have to talk about how sometimes when I was wee myself my parents called me Rie-Rie and tacked my middle name Rose on the end
But Joze couldn’t do r’s
So I was exclusively Wee-Wee Woes
Another point of pride: he trusted me enough to hold my hand instead of the railing when he went downstairs
You know I just don’t remember Chloe as a baby. The youngest I remember Chloe is maaaybe when she was a toddler, which makes sense because she was about to be 2 when Joze was born and after the gif-like memories of his birth I don’t really remember until hungry hungry caterpillar age.
