I've encountered many rabbits, but not one so bent on destruction as this innocent looking little fluffball.
Things she has done in the mere three weeks that she's been living with us:
Chewed right through the covering of her pet pillow and proceeded to dig into the cushioning, scattering filling everywhere (which her mate then tried to eat)
Yanked the curtains blocking her ever so rightful access to the garden room, and tried to eat them when they wouldn't comply
Treated the carpet as short-cropped inorganic grass land
Threw a fence on her cage mate
Tried to eat a mole on his ear
Climbed a crate of books to eat the yucca
Discovered the planter of the yucca contained soil. Which can be jumped into and dug.
Yanked away the pillow meant to block the few cables we couldn't put in trays and peed on it (to establish dominance, I must assume)
With full conviction, tried to move a 7 foot tall wooden cabinet
Headbutted a broom until it fell over, nearly giving her cage mate a heart attack
Got angry at the tv stand when she couldn't fit into the 2 inch space underneath it
Convinced her cage mate a towel makes for the perfect romantic dinner
Mind you, we've given her plenty of things to exercise her gnawing, tossing & digging needs, such as a box filled with straw, woven balls, empty toilet paper rolls, pet tunnels, and freshly cut willow branches. But those are allowed and easy access, so obviously much less interesting. Our only solace is that thus far, she hasn't shown a particular interest in any electric cables or book covers- the two things we expected her to like. Of course.
