Maybe it would have been better if Roy wasn't yelling at him but when had he ever controlled his terrible temper.

"You okay there, Jay?" Dick asked, pretending not to notice the fact that he was making the other nervous. Stopping two to three inches away, the older of the pair gave Jason the chance to make the next move. He wasn't going to force himself on the younger man.

“Not particularly, no, but my chest did kinda hurt then. My heart was beating really hard. I think even my soul was vibrating.” Tim chuckled, like he was telling a funny anecdote, not him having too much caffeine. “Alfie knows, I went to him when I realized this wasn’t good. He wasn’t very happy with me.” Tim then looked a little pouty. “He’s forbidden me to have coffee until he says so.”

tim is buzzing with nervous, frustrated energy. the tips of his fingers are twitching and there is a strange warmth burning behind his eyes that he blinks in order to get rid of. his back is to jason, and he isn’t sure if he should spin around to face him or keep his back turned, shoulders raised almost to the lobes of his ears. finally, he decides to turn to the other, eyes narrowing.

“ why? because we can NEVER talk about you, right? unless YOU want to. ”  tim knows that jason doesn’t deserve his anger-- it’s misdirected, but jay simply happens to be in the line of fire. 

“ im FINE. right? because im ALWAYS fine. and i always have to BE fine. why do you even CARE? ”

Sara didn’t say anything, she just pointed to his bandages; he’d completely bled through them. “Did you even check to see if it needed stitches, or did you just slap a bandage on there and hope for the best?” Which she, admittedly, had done, too. But he didn’t have to do that right now, they weren’t in the middle of a crisis. And while she could understand that he was hurting and exhausted, all he had to do was ask. She would do it. Which was why she offered, “Let me see it, and if it’s too deep, I’ll suture it shut. In the meantime, you should at least eat a protein bar. Down a bottle of water. Then you can get some sleep.”
