This week has been extra full of health related chaos & I came extremely close to not being able to complete my first bucket list crossoff. On Wednesday, I was rushed to the ER for an emergency blood transfusion. The doctors wanted me to stay for a couple of nights & I rejected their recommendation because I couldnโt miss this opportunity.
Anthony has been my favorite comedian for the last 16 years & seeing him perform live is one of the top items on my bucket list. I refused to miss this show, despite everything. & it was absolutely worth pushing through for ๐ฅน
The entire show was incredible, revolutionary, insane, legendary, daring, monumental, iconic, etc. I cried when we sat down because as I was staring at his stool & water bottles onstage preshow, reality hit me. After all these years it was finally happening. & damn, it was everything I expected & more. Anthonyโs mind is one of a kind. Heโs currently working on material for his next Netflix special & based off what he performed last night, I can already tell the next special is gonna be a whole nother level. I was laughing (& crying happy tears) the entire way through.
People always say that laughter is the best medicine & for me, I can attest that truth. Comedy has gotten me through a lot throughout my life & continues to do so. I am beyond grateful that last night worked out, despite everything.
Now that I had my bucket list evening of laughter, Iโm gonna distance myself for a couple of weeks in order to visit some more doctors, get some more testing, & try to figure out this internal bleeding situation (hopefully before I need to receive another emergency transfusion). Iโll try my best to keep yโall updated but with how I feel lately & with how bad my symptoms have been, please focus on that keyword โtryโ & donโt take it personal if I canโt. I love you guys! & extra shoutout to my mom for standing by my side & helping me stay strong. I love & appreciate you more than youโll ever know ๐ซถ๐ผ
