[mystarypi-astronomy]

I’ve been recently playing around with more soPHISTicaTEd astrophotography software. Instead of editing JPGs and PNGs, I’ve been looking into editing FITS files, which are specialized for astronomy. 🤩🤩🤩

This is the Lagoon Nebula, processed using js9. The images look a lot clearer and brings out more detail! 😍😍😍

This is the Dumbbell Nebula, edited with js9! There are so many color options that can really bring out invisible features in deep sky objects. 🎨🎨🎨

I used the viridis filter to edit this photo. I highly recommend js9 because you can also measure the brightness of certain features. I will be attempting to do some rgb editing for next time. 😁😁😁
