ANGST? OOOO- IM IN! - DHZA
OK so I don't think I've mentioned this but there's diffrent parts of the world! There's the mountians/jungle, the swamp/forest area, the forest/Golden Kingdom, and the desert.
Now no one in their right minds goes into the desert, not unless they're a corrupt or a priest in training because of the heat hallucinations you're sure to get.
Now the reason why corrupts can survive is because the only water there is the red sea.
Get past the desert and you'll find the red sea itself (or you know, try to sail through the raging waters fighting each other.) And in the red sea is an entire kingdom of corrupts and outcast hybrids, ruled over by the first corrupt, the Mage of the Red Sea.
The one that made the curse in the first place. The Red Lady.
And recall how ToL is married to her in the original? Well....
In THIS au they were dating once but had a nasty breakup. But around this time But around this time The Red Lady had fallen pregnant and they both knew this.
Angry that her only child was the spawn of the man who dumped her, she was quite nasty to Blixer.
She even tore out his core shortly after he was born and kept him alive with her magic.
The core was thrown into the ocean, eventually found by someone in paradise and making it's way to a very distraught ToL. But no matter what he tried, his ex wouldn't let him in.
At first she couldn't kill her child over motherly instincts. Then it turned into pure spite against ToL since he clearly wanted his child back.
Now that would probably be the end of it, Blixer grew up in a bad ish home, he'd be crowned prince, and he'd probably be around as bad as his mother. Except for one thing.
Blixer is as bad as his father when it came to hope.
And that infuriated his mother to a never ending degree.
She would lock him in a tower for days at a time, only the gutsiest of servents would sneak in food for him.
But still he had hope.
She would get rid of things that infuriated her.
He would say that those from paradise would save him.
His mother executed the staff that put those thoughts into his head.
She gets word that his birthmarks are something he treasures
Se got rid of those two when she got pissed off
He would watch the stars at night, waiting for rescue.
She got rid of those too...
-----
One day in paradise a group of heroes heard tales of a kingdom ruled over by a sick tyrant that needed more help than anyone.
He handed them the dead core, saying that it would show them the way to it
And it did.
They had decided along the way that they would try to overthrow the queen. Until the core suddenly lit up. They were at a loss of what to do, half wanted to see where the core led, and the other half wanted to rally the kingdom.
They were stuck running through the castle walls, until suddenly, something grabbed them and dragged them into the shadows. His voice was low, his hands were cold, and they couldn't see his face for some reason.
He led them down a long hallway and up some stairs, somehow lighting the torches up ahead and putting them put before they got a good look at his siloete.
When they got to the room, they found out why.
He was wearing a body length veil that covered everything but his feet, a crown on top of his head holding it where it stood. It was the prince, and he was...helping them??
You'd sorta expect the child of something evil to be evil as well right?
No. Not really. But they sure as heck did.
The prince spoke slow, taking his time to decide what he's going to say, picking his words carefully as if he was talking to someone that was easily offended.
He said things like "I'm afraid you're too late to save much" and "I can't believe you even showed up at all" as time went on, his tone of voice gave away his growing upsettiness.
It takes Cyan a while, but he figures out who's core is in his pocket. He almost throws up.
The veil is cut at the sides and two prosthetic arms reveal themselves. Blixer decides to test these heroes before he could ever let himself have hope again.
It was during this battle that the wind picked up and revealed what laid underneath the veil.
And they saw nothing but misery and years of torture and abuse laid out before them.
One short fight later and their objective changes from freeing the kingdom, to getting the prince far FAR away from there as soon as possible.
They escape with little to no issue surprisingly.
After that they have a little downtime as they caught a ride on a traveling ship. There, Blixer told them of the corrupt kingdom, and there the heroes realized their escape was one of the luckiest moments they've ever had. Almost suspiciously so.
It's a touchy subject on what happened to him. On the bright side Blixer finally gets his core back. Even if he refuses to fuse with it once more.
When they reach paradise, the entire city was curious on this new stranger the heroes had brought with him, gently guiding him towards the tree.
ToL is freaking. LIVID when he finds out what The Red Lady did to his child.
(Sooo gonna draw this :D)
