affection gestures come with upmost subtility ; it is not by any means a way to hide their relationship but a way to keep pressure low . if tsuyu is anything she is not demanding & there is a strong , mutual understanding that it’s best to keep things low - key . & this honestly doesn’t bother her ━ in fact , there are times when she prefers it . it makes moments like these feel more rewarding .
she quietly sits beside shouto , arms pressed together but little else to indicate closeness . class trips to outside facilities are less than rare & it’s a good opportunity for them to casually chat without seeming odd . or , in this case , they allow themselves to bask in comfortable silence .
but with time she comes to feel a warm weight against her side . soft strands of white gently brush against her skin , bringing her to glance toward shouto’s form . it’s … cute . but tsuyu doesn’t make a show out of it ; instead , she shifts to sit a bit straighter ( he’s considerably taller & this makes it easier on the both of them ) & carries on with her business .
