Oof lets do this before i forget again

Okay,so! Since lately,stuff in the JSE fandom is getting kinda,really oof, if you see what i mean,here are the tags i’ll be using and that you can block if yo’ure not looking to see that sort of stuff:

i will not use that tag if i reblog,or talk about stuff that bring up legitimate concerns regarding what Sean does,or what’s going within the community.

But!I will use this for plain negativity things (does not apply to just the JSE fandom)

all of these tags are what i’ll be tagging posts that are not plain hate and approach the issues in a civil manner. This is what i’ve been talking about,or reblogging since the start anyway,as I am not a hate blog that exist just for the sake of putting Sean or other people down because they still enjoy JSE stuff.I want this blog to be a safe,and civil place. I’m inviting other people to use these tags if they want to share their concerns,because criticizing some things that Sean does and make them worry,or when fans try to voice their concerns should not be labeled as plain discourse! Let’s be civil,respect other opinions ,go into the right direction to get the community welcoming like before,and not send hateful stuff on anon :)

Um,say,feel free to answer that privately,but regarding your latest post about "im not vibing with jacksepticeye rn" i totally get that,i'm seeing people wanting to turn away from jse stuff and turn their evrsions of the egos itno ocs,which is fair,but also,it super saddens me because way before,people weren't doing that,and it make me realize how things changed in a bad way,but i'm hoping things get better soon,i hate people being driven away--soryr,i didnt meant for it to become a rant!

well thing’s certainly have changed with the jse fandom...or should i say cult because it sure acts like that. it sadden’s me too, seeing a community that i once loved very much become a weird cess-pool of cult-like mentalities combined with sean’s recent behavior with a homophobic editor, homophobic + transphobic game and making jokes about the coronavirus, all makes for a very...upsetting experience. especially since i’ve tried so hard to give sean the benefit of the doubt but honestly im kind done with it. his ‘apology’ also bothered me since he claims he ‘didn't know the game was THAT bad’ which implies he knew the game was bad to some extent. while i haven’t lost that much interest in the egos, i have lost alot of respect towards sean. honestly i don’t want to turn away from jse content but at this point it seems like he’s pushing us to with his bootleg felix humor. i do hope maybe he turns around tho. i do hope things get better soon but i cant say with full honesty that they will since sean doesn't seem to notice the issues we are telling him we have. if it makes you too sad i can tag the posts with #jsecritical if you’d like?? or #discourse/diskcourse.

I'm sorry that I'm confused I don't mean to ask to pry but like, I'm confused by the "homophobic editor" comment? I'm in and out with the jse fandom so I don't pay attention to everything, when did this happen?

kinda recently? sean basically had a editor that had made some previous homophobic comments, and while the editor has since apologized, i still dont like how sean kinda...brushed it under the rug and only confronted it once multiple people in the community spoke about how uneasy it made them. i wasn't exactly here for much of this either so feel free to correct me if i got anything wrong.

im sorry if this sounds stupid; i havent had the time to investigate the youtube scene lately and i’m curious as to what happened involving j/se and ethan lately? i saw your recent posts and i’m curious. you dont have to answer if you dont wanna :o

oh no it’s okay. and it’s not really that big of a deal and unrelated with each other but they happened right one of the other so that’s why i made those posts. (this is gonna be a bit longer sorry in advance i just don’t know to shut up sjgsdgj)

just in case some warnings in advance (for the j/se part): p*wdi*p*e mention, racism mention, homophobia, transmisogyny

so with j/se i just don’t like what he has been doing for a while (still supporting and making videos with p*wdi*p*e, having a clearly racist gf who never addresses her racist comments, how he handles his egos and just overall feel of his videos) but what i was talking about in the post was his latest video “Wanking Simulator”

without watching it looks just like a silly cursed gameplay but the game is awful. the main character is just a pervert who’s last name is gay. he lives in “gay bay” and calls it the worst place to live. you can also kick people (not just be a pervert masturbater) so naturally jack just starts kicking people which causes a npc that’s basically a transmisogynist caricature to come up and get kicked in the face. it’s just awful. like he played the game and it got edited and at no point no one said “hey maybe this isn’t the best game to play and post?” nope. maybe it wouldn’t bother me as much without the other stuff i mentioned but still that’s a bad look.

now the ethan part!! he made a q&a video where he answered a bunch of questions and one of the people asked whether he was fully gay. (at 4:17) and his answer was “it’s a spectrum” he doesn’t identify as bi and says he doesn’t think he’d date a guy but he’s not one of those straights™ that are “like guys???? ew!! no!!!!!” it’s just,,,,,,,, 😍😍😍 i already loved him and this just made me happy. i just love seeing people comfortable in their sexuality. and it’s even better to think about kids who will watch it. ugh okay i’ll just shut up.

so yeah that’s the situation. like i said before it’s not that big of a deal but they happened right one after another.

i unsubscribed from j/se and subscribed to ethan around the same time and today just further proves i made the right choice
