Random Tour Memory #2

So, my random tour memory is from our show in Centerville, OH. We did a warm up where each section went in lines, factory style. Everyone else is wicked serious about it, and then it was the tuba section's turn....

We were singing Thrift Shop and Don't Drop That Thun Thun Thun the entire time. I think the rest of the hornline might have hated us for that.... but it doesn't matter, we had fun

WTF people?

I love hearing from people that I didn't really march  a Drum Corps show this summer. The reason people are saying this? My drum corps used an EWI! An Electronic Wind instrument, which is essentially an electronic saxophone. 

So, let me get this straight...

My drum corps used a LEGAL piece of equipment in our show in order to enhance it. But, because it is different, it's not ok? It means we were trying something new. Evolution is natural, and it is not necessarily a bad thing. But hold on, what did these people say when Teal Sound did it in 2011? Hold on, it was OK, because Teal Sound had a rock band in their pit. But wait.... so did Jersey Surf!!!!!!

Let me guess, if another corps, say Carolina Crown or Bluecoats, used an EWI, these people would be acting like those corps cured Cancer or something. Seriously, WTF people?
