you never hear north welsh accents in media because a) the region is underfunded and it's difficult for working class people to get into the arts, and b) the accents don't fit the preconceived notion of what people think a welsh accent is. we don't have "singsong" valleys accents, they're not ~aesthetic~ enough, not ✨️elfy✨️ enough, too harsh! so no one uses them.
