March 17, 2018 -four years. A family friend has a daughter that lives far away from her who she misses a lot. One day she told me that even though she can't see her daughter because she’s not close, it comforts her to think that her daughter is just a phone call or a plane ticket away and that she can talk to her and hear her voice whenever she wants. She told me that she can't imagine what it must be like not to be able to hear her daughter’s voice, or to see her face again, or not to be able to give her a hug. In other words, she can’t imagine how I feel. It’s been four long years without you. In my dreams I see you, I hear you, I hug you.. only to wake up and realize once again that I won’t be able to do any of those things simply because you’re not here anymore. Another day, another week, another month, another year, another morning.. another stab through my heart. and so I wait for you.. I will always love you my Duedo.
