You were always ten thousand percent embarrassed whenyou called out to Amajiki Tamaki, especially when Hado was around as she wouldstart giggling at your name for the young man, but you would not let that getto you! You would not let that thought worm into your head and prevent you fromtalking to him today! Not this day! Not…this….day…

You lowered your arm from its position above yourhead, staring after the hunched form of Amajiki Tamaki as he walked away fromthe school to the dorms with his two best friends.

Someone called your name. You looked back. “Oh. Yes,Midoriya?” you asked.

He smiled as he adjusted the shoes on his feet,stepping out onto the sidewalk with you. “Could I walk with you to the dorms? Ihad a question to ask you,” you asked.

You shrugged and started to walk. “That was aquestion. But shoot,” you prompted.

Midoriya looked after the Big Three. “If you likeAmajiki so much, why don’t you tell him?”

You choked on the air and pounded your chest. He startedto apologize, frantic and suggesting that you should see Recovery Girl. Youwaved your hand. “I just,” you started. You hesitated, biting your lip. “Idon’t know what to say,” you confessed. “I’m a year younger than him, and soonthe three of them will be out in the real world doing pro hero stuff. He’s notgonna have time for me.”

Midoriya looked over at the trio again. Togata hadstopped, saying something to Amajiki that was making Hado laugh. His gazereturned to you. “You wouldn’t know unless you tried, you know,” he commented.

You puffed at him. “Stop being so smart and stuff,”you said. He only grinned. You stepped away and adjusted the bag on yourshoulder. “I’ll at least say hi…see if he’s busy this weekend. Okay?”

“I believe in you!” Midoriya cheered.

You took a large, calming breath and started towardsthem, lifting your hand once again. “Tamaki-senpai!” you called.

Hado’s excited squeal reached your ears first. Sheturned around and clapped her hands. “It’s so cute that you call him that!” sheexclaimed, “Just like in that show!” She waved her hands around her face. “Allyou need are flower petals.”

Togata sharply raised a hand to the side of his face.“We should find some, Hado. Right now. This very moment. And leave Amajiki herewith them,” he suggested stiffly.

Amajiki’s shoulders hunched around his ears. “Youwouldn’t dare,” he whispered.

With a look that very clearly portrayed spite, Togatagrabbed Hado’s arm and sprinted with her towards the dorms.

Leaving you and Amajiki in a very awkward silence. Youfidgeted with your tie. Amajiki turned around to face you, eyes fixed on theground as he attempted to turtle into his sweater vest. You smiled. “T-Tamaki-senpai,”you started, “I was wonder—”

“Just Tamaki,” he corrected.

You nodded. The tension in your back melted away.“Tamaki,” you tried again, “I was wondering if you were busy this weekend. W-Wecould study together.”

He plucked a piece of lint from his shirt. “You’re inClass 2-A,” he pointed out.

You puffed your cheeks in frustrated. “So? We canstill study together!” you exclaimed. “I wanna spend time with you and studyingwas the best thing I could think of!”

His face glowed with embarrassment and you thought hissweater vest was going to swallow him whole. “Why would you wanna do that?” hemumbled.

You tilted your head with a smile. “Because I likeyou, senpai,” you confessed.

He nudged the edge of his sweater up over his chin tocover his mouth, face growing a darker shade of red than before. He couldn’tthink of anything to say.

A red blur zoomed by, almost knocking the older boyover. Kirishima, his younger partner at Fatgum’s agency, grinned at you. “Amajikiwould be honored to spend time withyou, senpai, and is graced by thissurprising confession you’ve made,” he said. He patted Amajiki’s chest withamused snickered.

You crossed your arms. “Gee, it’s almost like you rehearsedthat speech, Kirishima,” you pointed out.

The red head released Amajiki and zoomed away. “I don’tknow what you mean!” he shouted back to you. You reached out to steady theupperclassman as he stumbled. His hands gripped your arms and you could havesworn his whole body was pink now.

“I would like that,” he whispered. You smiled up athim.

“It’s a date.”

He crumbled with a wheeze, bringing you to the groundwith him.
