Febhyurary 2026 Day 4: Festival

Heavensturn, the celebration of a new year, the season of Eden's nameday...and this year she was thrilled to add another equine friend to her herd!

Aen Reion - a fae stallion of unknown origins, fleet of foot and fierce of temperament. Any who sought to ride it would be led on a wild, terrifying journey across Il Mheg before being thrown right where they began. Any who wish to tame this beast would need to handle both its blistering speed and fiery temper. Should they manage this, mayhaps they would find themselves a grand steed indeed...

Ever since I got the Juedi, I’ve wanted to have a way to have the mount ICly. However, Chachan already has his draught Chocobo Avenger on the Source. So, why not have it be his mount on the First? And so this idea came to mind. Chachanji’s Gegenji stubbornness along with his experiences on the swift-footed Avenger allowing him to tame this fae horse during his time in Il Mheg.

This is actually based somewhat on a creature from Celtic folklore, but I based its name on another mythological horse (Arion/Areion) since, well... pucai or phookai already exist in the game in a slightly different form...

... Though being able to ride one around would probably still be fun.

My core group on Ultros (main server) cleared Heaven on High for the fourth time yesterday to receive Juedi--

[ a mark of honour gifted to warriors truly deserving of them when the head of the Confederacy relinquishes his seat ].

We ran this over the course of a good handful of months (with some failed runs to achieve our first clear, but no wipes after that) because someone moved to Europe last year and scheduling has been difficult. I am so glad we were able to finish this together, and so grateful that I could have made such wonderful friends with whom I’ve been raiding in this game for years even as other static members changed. This is the same team with which I cleared PotD. ♥

Juedi

Eden's two (so far!) horses-

Juedi - given to her as a wedding present from Hien. A stalwart, calm warhorse she can take just about anywhere. Has a fondness for bananas and bringing his nose down for her to give him kisses.

Chai - a horse she chose from amongst the steeds imported by the Immortal Flames to Eorzea. A flighty, spirited horse with maybe two brain cells, but with the true speed and stamina of a warrior.
