For the past 11 days, archaeologists from across the region have flocked to the shore of the Patuxent River at Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary for a dig-a-thon, uncovering more evidence of a large indigenous settlement stretching for 2 miles along the river and thousands of years into our past.
